In 1993, Don Barr established Donald L. Barr & Co. Inc. utilizing his specialized talents to build condominiums and cluster home communities. Don has had 16 years of experience with another Cleveland area builder where he was involved in the planning and construction of 18 communities and over 800 homes. He also served as a Builder/Developer Management Consultant for a number of local organizations and within the City of Cleveland.  In addition, he has served the local, state and national Home Builders Association for the last twelve years.

HBA Warranty

We want you to be secure in the knowledge that your new home has been constructed with care by a HBA Registered Builder. In order to protect your investments, a limited warranty has been developed to assure your new home continues to provide you with comfort and security for many years.

Your new home investment is protected by:
1. The HBA Limited Home Warranty—provided by your HBA Registered Builder. 2. Manufacturer’s Warranties—provided by the manufacturers of the products installed in your home.
3. Homeowner’s Insurance—provided by your insurance carrier.
4. Homeowner Maintenance—provided by you.

What is the HBA Limited Home Warranty?
This is the warranty provided by your builder. This one-year written warranty protection is offered exclusively by and is available only through Registered Builder members of the Home Builders Association of Greater Cleveland (HBA).

It identifies standards adhered to by the builder in the construction of your new home, your responsibilities in properly maintaining your new home and the warranty obligations of the builder. It is not a maintenance agreement.

In addition, it specifically identifies the action your builder will take in the event of a failure due to defect in material or workmanship during the warranty period.
